To our dear WWFC family:

In the midst of so much uncertainty and anxiety, our hearts are with each of you – our supporters, partners, beneficiaries, friends, and community members – as we navigate uncharted paths. Like so many, at WWFC, we have found ourselves wanting to help those in need but feeling unsure of what we could do, especially given the need to remain socially distant.

While we are all coping with the impact of COVID-19, one of our longest-tenured partners – the 49ers Academy in East Palo Alto – reached out directly to share stories highlighting the disproportionate challenges the disruption was having on their already economically vulnerable students and families. It is heartbreaking. Overwhelming. Scary. And happening right in our backyard.

We have seen the positive impact WWFC has had on the 49ers Academy families over the years – expanding academic and fitness facilities; providing donations of time, talent and treasure; and sparking moments of wonder and joy for students attending Children’s Champions and Holiday Heroes
