Help us raise funds to refurbish the batting cage at Jack Farrell Park for the players of Ravenswood Little League.

Last season, Rally for Ravenswood 2025 donors helped equip 100+ East Palo Alto little leaguers with the gear they deserve. Now that the Ravenswood players have what they need to play, our next challenge is providing access to quality practice facilities.

This season, your support of Rally for Ravenswood will help Walt and the WWFC fund the renovation and refurbishment of the ONLY public batting cage in East Palo Alto.

Powered by Youth: Meet Walt

Walt Willis is a JV baseball player at Menlo School and a WWFC Youth Council Member.

Growing up in a Bay Area little league, Walt saw something that didn’t sit right with him. Just miles from his hometown, little leaguers in East Palo Alto lacked access to both quality equipment and safe practice facilities.

Last year, Walt decided to step up. He partnered with the Wender Weis foundation to create “Rally for Ravenswood”. Together, they funded several youth clinics and equipped more than 100 East Palo Alto ballplayers with gear from Rawlings, Bruce Bolt, New Balance, Nike and Marucci.

Most importantly, the inaugural Rally for Ravenswood effort brought stakeholders from all over the Bay Area in support of the little leaguers of East Palo Alto.

Today, Walt and the WWFC are aiming higher. This year’s Rally for Ravenswood is raising funds to rebuild the ONLY public batting cage available to Ravenswood Little Leaguers.

“I love baseball but access to the sport isn’t equal. I was lucky enough to be introduced to baseball in a town with great facilities, but there are ballplayers here on the Peninsula that are less fortunate.

It seems to me that baseball talent is everywhere, but access to what it takes to play the game isn’t equal. My goal is for every player in our community to get a fair shot, and it starts with having the right equipment and a safe place to play.

Last year, Rally for Ravenswood provided a ton of great gear.

This year, our focus is on improving the practice facilities in East Palo Alto, and it starts with getting them a real batting cage.

This donor group made such a big impact in 2025 – I can’t wait to see what we can do this year!”

Building A Strong Foundation

Currently, the cage at Jack Farrell Park is in disrepair and unsafe for play. If the Rally for Ravenswood community can raise $50,000, East Palo Alto’s aspiring ballplayers will benefit from a hitting facility that rivals any little league cage in the Bay Area. The WWFC has selected a contractor to manage the project, and the design plans have been approved by the Town of East Palo Alto.

With your help, Rally for Ravenswood can get this facility built and open in time for the coming Fall Ball season!

  • $25 – Single
  • $50 – Double
  • $100 – Triple
  • $250 – Home Run
  • $500 – Grand Slam
  • $1,000 – Silver Slugger
  • $2,500 – Triple Crown
  • $5,000 – Hall of Fame
